GOODMORNING USA!!! Benvenuti to another email from your favorite Italian queen, yes that's me, Sorella Coon!!!
Anyways, this week was totally tubular.

Pday was an absolute SLAY we rented some good old bikes, slapped on that safety helmet and embarked on our adventure to have a picnic at the beach. Doesn't get much better than that folks. We played some spikeball, ate some sandwiches and things even got a little crazy... We dipped our feet in the water. I know, apostate missionary activities. Watch out.
Thursday was a BEAUTIFUL day. My queen Stefania (new convert) met us with us to start her Family history account!! This queen even brought her non member aunt with a folder full of family history so they could work on it together. IT WAS SO COOL.
Friday was your average missionary day of being outside all day talking to random strangers and hearing a lot of no's. It was a long day but one step closer to finding the elect!!
Saturday was the coolest experience!! We got a call from one of our members Sorella Sanna asking if we were free for lunch i said um YESSUH. She invited us over to have lunch with a woman that served here in Sardegna 40 years ago. She was the sister missionary that baptized her husband Fratello sanna. She asked us to be the translator because after all that time the lady had forgotten her italian. It was such a beautiful day to see the joy and love they had for each other after not seeing each other for 40 years and not even being able to speak the same language. She also taught my companion and I so many life lessons about the mission. We spent most of the day with them and it was just a very much needed uplifting boost for me.
Saturday and sunday were both BEAUTIFUL days. We had the opportunity to watch General Conference. I definitely missed sitting at home on the couch in my pj's but the church chapel in a skirt in italian not understanding a word worked out just fine too.

I have channeled my inner baker recently. It was crepes last week and cinnamon rolls this week. It was a scary process but no worries they were straight GAS (for the old folks that means they were really good.) It just wouldn't be conference without cinnamon rolls.
But In all seriousness how blessed are we to be able to hear from a living prophet and his apostles. When they speak, they speak with power and you can feel the spirit testify the words they are saying are the truth.
One thing I really love about conference is just seeing that conference room packed full of people. It makes my heart so happy. It hit me different this year being here in italy where the population of the church is much smaller and the members are so little. How reassuring it is that there are so many members. These people here in Europe are not alone. They have support from all over the world. Anyways, i just love conference. I invite all of you to go reflect and rewatch the talks over the next few months. They are SO important.
Anyways, mission life is good. Some days are very hard and i just want to crawl up in a bawl and take a nap, but at the end of the day, i get up and I do it all for my Savior Jesus Christ. I do it to help these people see the love that he has for them. I love my savior Jesus christ and i will always be his disciple.
